I've long been drawn to Gould's singular way of thinking and creating. In painting him, I found myself exploring the quiet intensity that often accompanies a life devoted to art. Looking back, I recognize many of the same themes that continue to shape my work today: presence, contemplation, and the unseen worlds from which creativity emerges.
